THE NEXT CHAPTER
Forty years on, Mexx makes a clear reset. An identity rooted in our own heritage, sharpened for the way people live now. Authentic in soul. Confident in style. We are not chasing relevance. We are reclaiming it.
That heritage has a name. Amsterdam, 1986: Rattan Chadha brings two labels together, Moustache and Emanuelle, and calls the result what it is: M, E, and XX. He commissioned no research. He sealed it with two kisses. What he built from there, an Amsterdam label that ended up on rails around the world, rested on one conviction: everything should be XX. Joy, wit, human connection, in clothes made to feel good to wear, not only to look at. Fashion as feeling, not as performance.
A new start, and a deliberate one: a return to the clarity that made Mexx matter, sharpened for the world as it is now. Dutch by design in origin and attitude: functional clarity, directness, confidence without pretence. We are not chasing relevance. We are reclaiming it.
